Victor Joe Yim, M.D.








Dr. Victor Joe Yim graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine in 1994.  He completed a seven year combined undergraduate and medical school program at the University of California, Riverside and the UCLA School of Medicine.  He earned his medical degree at the early age of 23.  He went on to complete his one year internship at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center.  He then completed his three year ophthalmology residency at Brooklyn Jewish Medical Center in New York City.  Dr. Yim founded his private practice, New York City Ophthalmology, P.C. in 2000.  Along with being board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the New York State Ophthalmologic Society.  He is also an attending physician with surgical privileges at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in Manhattan.

Dr. Yim is an avid scuba diver, amateur race car driver and photographer.  He speaks English, Spanish, and Chinese, but is able to perform slit lamp eye examinations with Creole and Russian speaking patients as well.
